sportbikewest was a blast. great roads, good people, good entertainment in the form of the dyno contest.
best of all was just chattin with members, primarily cowboy and zx23rr. took one a frank's buells fer a demo ride...cool! more on that tomorrow.
the quick highlight of the dyno contest: 2 of the 6 classes were taken by bikeland members! my good friend mattie_k took the v-twin category with his rc51, and cowboy took king of the hill on, what else, his 12r. even with a cold nitrous bottle he took the title by some 50hp, and that was over another nitrous bike! man, that is one strong 12. even on motor only, it was only ~1.5hp short of the juiced vmax. he showed 166.9hp on a dyno that reads about 10.5% low (uncorrected). thats incredible! my poor 12 only put out 141hp, which is just about right when u add the 10% correction factor.
to all those that didnt go, shame on u! to those that couldnt go, . either way, u missed out. nest year i'm really gonna have to come & haul peopls out by the scruff of the neck.
