Nitrous kit i got for my bike

so jus bought thsi nitrous kit for my zx12r. i have a power commander and my buddy keepd tellin me i have to have it re programed for the nitrous is this true???

ive asked the company im gettin it from and they say its a direct bolt on item and that a stock motor and handle 40 hp sot. he also said that i didnt have to mess with the power commander,

Add fuel via the power commander before you hit the nitrous.

richen the PC map about 15% in the 80 and 100 % throttle collums in the 7000 rpm and up rows. run high test. you should be ok.... if possible, use cr10ek plugs instead of the stock cr9ekpa

It's worth the money to get it to a dyno with an operator that has experience with nitrous. Just curious what is your intended application? (Street, Strip, LSR)

yes you have to add fuel for nitrous, +15 numbers from 6k up in the 100% throttle quadrants will give a baseline, start from there on a dyno with sniffer.
