12RPilot down (yes again)

Stopping hard at a four way stop. Front washes out from under me in gooey tar. Worst part; though I was out in the countryside, of course there was a witness. Grrr.

UH, I hate to take advantage of your misfortune but, since your mirror is toast, How do you get the mirror out of the housing? Just give it a pull and it pops out? I got a loose screw(Yeah, yeah, I know) floating around in my right mirror behind the glass and it is driving me nuts. It's not hurting anything but I don't want to trash a mirror to fix it. Anybody ever have one apart? Hate to see a brother crash.

As much as it pisses me off, I realize I was lucky it was a low speed incident. Just picked it up and rode the last block home. I think it's time to start repairing body panels. This is getting expensive. A spare set of panels for the race track can't hurt. Now, where is that Color-Rite web site?........

im starting to think zx12rs have the same unhealthy relationship with gravity that i have.

or this year has just ROYALLY sucked

anyway glad you are ok, plastic can be fixed... ;P

ps i matched paint at napa, their paint is pretty decent, looks good, ask greenglenn.

the only complaint i had is the guy uised thick coats instead of thin coats when he sprayed it, so if you hit it with pebbles (say off the rear tire of a zx12r right in front ) it chips pretty bad. but i am sure it is an application issue and not the paint itself. best of all i payed 1/4 the amount for a gallon that i would have paid yamaha for a pint...

anyway bondo LIHT body filler is your friend on deep scratches and small holes.
