im no expert by any means, but this is how i was doing it. remember i was about 7 over
roll up to the pre stage then let the clutch lever out just enough so it just barely starts to slip, then pull it back in a tiny bit and hold it there. get way up on the tank, feet way back, push yourself into the stage with your tip toes and bring the rpm up to about 7000 as you are doing so, hold it there. on the 3rd yellow let the clutch lever snap out some then slide it the rest of the way as you go to WFO. sounds easy right? :P i wish....

Depends on your set up what it can do........, and what clutch you are using, and if it is tuned right..........

so my clutch issue i think may be fixed with a new oem clutch.
1.73 60 117.4 1/8th 9.79 146mph.
still trying to figure mph down a little but the 60ft math works again.
imagin if i could 60ft the thing . if i would of got 1.63 would been around 9.59 to 9.60. i have to work on that.

That's the general rule , 1 tenth in the 60' is good for 2 tenths in the 1/4,
but if your clutch is slipping you may get a little more ET and MPH.

so we all sort of had a good time except for mike who got screwed out of his licence runs by tower people who no not what they are doing and the one that does said too late. plus we got jipped runs cause we got alot.
as far as getting the good 60 i think i am back on the rite track. leaving at a lower rpm and flinging the clutch while grabbing a lot of juce makes the forward drive feel much better. the only was to go quicker my way was leaving at higher rpm (6000) and all it did was wheelie.
i feel back on track and now i can move forward on this. a 1.62 again last pass would of given me a 9.58 the day i get a 9.5xx as it sits i will be elated (my head may not fit in my helmet for a while)
it was 73 deg last pass 74% rh 29.65barm 1500AA. good air day for almost mid july

some bikes are easier to 60' than others, it depends on the torque and where its made, the 14 and 08 busa are much easier than the 12. Gear the shit out of the 12 and it will 60'
The 12 has a tall first gear so it requires a lot of gearing, like 16-49 or 50 maybe 51 or 52 if your heavy.
My best on my 12 has been a 1.43 on a stock clutch 6" over bolt ons .
KZ scott said it best, but gearing is very important and 5dg of timing advance helps too.
Some tracks are also better than others, some tracks just spit out good numbers all around.

that was with the front wheel......

It has more. I was just making sure I could hit the 5.90 index in Holly Springs in two weeks.

I think I will be okay......he he.

Its nice to not have this thing backed off to bracket race.........

No , I get to the quarter just fine............

The track was a hair loose from 300ft on..........., I actually should have been running quicker. We will see what it does at Holly Springs in a few weeks. I can et better without the tire hazing. its not bad, just enough to eat up a little gear, and knock off some et. An MCR would help, but the shinko U soft is doing fine. I will actually try to push it harder if I need to but right now, I should have the 5.90 index covered, and may have to slow down. I know I will in the colder air this fall.
