Best clutches to buy?

I need a set of clutches and I am wondering which ones are the best for the 12. I am sure there will be a few different opinions. Thicker metal plates or thinner. Fiber or kevlar? Kaw, Muzzy, Ebc, or Barrnet? Who makes the Muzzy clutches anyway, Muzzy? Some suggestions please.

You can get the oem steels up to 2.0 thick. These will help them from overheating as badly as the stock thin ones(1.6). Stock fibers seem to work the best also. I've never heard of anyone using aftermarket stuff that held up as well in a bike that's dragraced. Muzzy, Schnitz, Ron Ayers will all sell you oem stuff. I'd check the prices. Some are much cheaper than others.

STAY AWAY FROM BARNETT!! Only use the OEM in Kawis. Dont know what it is about them, but they work well! I wont even go into the BARNETT issues.
Muzzys sells the OEM clutches. I believe they are about $180 for a complete set (2.0 steels) They have them on hand, so you pay alittle more. RonAyers needs to order and it takes 7-10days for delivery.

Order from Ron Ayers.com http://www.ronayers.com/searchparts.cfm online; get (10) 2mm steels and (11) standard fibers and don't waste your cash on the smaller diameter fiber or the rings just use all standard fibers. Its cheaper than the Muzzys kit which is OEM parts anyway; Ron Ayers is the hookup!!

Part Number: 13089-1124
Description: PLATE-CLUTCH 2.0MM STEELS
Price: $5.56 each X (QTY 10)

Part Number: 13088-1131
Description: PLATE-FRICTION
Price: $8.20 each X (QTY 11)

That's $145.80 + S&H (usually no more than $7.00 UPS)

The muzzys modified clutch kit for $299 pictured here includes a new precision drilled clutch hub, hub bearing sleeve, (11) OEM friction fibers, (10) OEM 2.0MM heavy-duty steel drive plates and (3) heavy duty springs; note these are OEM plates and fibers. So if you're looking for that complete package then it's a good deal; most of us already have that modification.

However if you're looking only to replace the clutch itself then Ron Ayers is the way to go at half the price and you're only replacing the wearable items.
