usb to serial cable for PC3
does this work ? every time i need to up load a map i have to borrow my buddies old piece of crap laptop that has a serial port my lap top is too new and doesnt have one. any ways does the usb to seial cable work ?

i think you can get a cable that has usb on one end and serial on the other

aaa then they do work with the PC soft ware sounds good ill get one then was just worried about assigning a com port to the usb but im guessing you can ?

No assignment, just plug it in and select the right port .
each usb port will assign itself to a different com port,
