absolutely use the copper O gaskets, but i would NOT use any silicone on the joints if you ever might want to separate those pieces in the future.

The Gaskets Yes! It is for Debate on the HiTemp Silicone! I have used it with no real problem (Just make sure no one is behid the bike when you start it up because that Silicone comes out at a Very High temp and will burn the Hell0 out of you! Do not ask).

I also used Silver Antiseize and I think I like that Better! Either way I was able to get the Pipes apart and had a good seal! Just make sure when you are finished installing everything that you take a double paper towel and spray Brake clean on it cna clean all of your finger prints off the pipe BEFORE Stating it! Otherwise it will leave a Nasty stain!

Also after starting and heating the pipe you can take WD40 or CRC556 and clean the entire system and yes it will smoke for a minute but the residue will keep everything off the pipe! Specially with a Ti Muffler! To me, the PIPE Design cannot be beat! Most Battle Ships have welding as good but it is not the Beauty it is the ------

I forgot to add, since you have a 2000 I have several Maps with a stock Fuel Pump and the Muzzy Pump and the map I used to make 183 HP and get 40 MPG I will send you if you send me a PM with your e-mail address
