new busa

they piss me off. at a dyno shootout i was top dog in my class closest 14 was 4 hp behind me till a 08 busa showed up as far as i can tell almost new stock was 6 to 7 hp higher. i have no reason to believe it is not stock. can't wait to see one at maple grove to see how fast they will go.

I was racing with one Friday. It had a full Brock pipe,PC and track map and he went 9.82 @145. That was the guys 3rd time racing a bike, ever. They are impossible to keep down at stock wheelbase. Like riding a CR500. LOL. I did beat him on my best pass. 9.84 to 10.06.

I went a 9.42@148 mph on a piped one with 2" extensions.
Ugly as hell but they do make power.

anyone that can drag a bike well will fly on it i am sure. rideing johns 05 busa tought me more by rideing something different than anything else. throw the clutch at 4500 on it bad news. throw it on my 12 not enouth juce yet. i have respect for them for sure. can not wait for a 08 full allout zx14 to compete with same mods busa. sofar i always dyno more than any normal mod zx14. though none yet had a 4 to 1 pipe. all were slipon duals with no flys and power commanders. not much show up at the track. just busas and me. ahwell it is all fun. just show up to have a good time, not to be the fastest. show up to be the fastest and u get dissapointed somewhat. a guy on a 08 busa well may be the one. (for now) i am thinking 1270 in the furure.

I don't think that busa was stock. He was hiding something you see the way he smiled when we asked him if it was stock. Hell my bike was down 16 hp. on that dyno

that was a different type of dyno. it will give different numbers compaired to a regular dyno. this one can load our bikes to simulate driving.

Rocket,
I'm new here so I don't know folks and their bikes yet. Mind telling me what you've done to your 12 and what your bike, the 14s and the busa pulled on that dyno.

'preciate it,
Rick

rick i have a muzzy ti pipe on it ( full system) and a muzzy advancer at 2.5 advance. i am using the stock ecu to tweek it via the ridgeracer info on this site.and using that the muzzy pipe (well large pipe anyway)induced low end issues are gone as far as driveability. i still have a little bit of tweeking but am not going anyfarther till i get rid of the kleen system to see if that is masking my air fuel ratio readings.
on that dyno we went to i had all but 167. a 14 with dual slipons had like 161 and the 08 busa had all but 174. tshults went also his hindle equiped bike had 160 .

Rocket,

Why did you choose 2.5 degrees advance? I have the same advancer and set it somewhere near 3 to 3.5 degrees advance because I read another guys post about loosing HP at high rpm during a dyno run with 5 degrees advance.

i put it to 2.5 cause it seemed to be the best safe general bet though i would not put any money on it giveing me a big push in horsepower.last bike i had that was worked on there was no difference from stock to a 4deg advancer. i felt i wasted 45 bucks.
