What could be the cause of a brake light staying on constantly?
I have a ZX12R. My brake light will not work. It stays on. It looks as if I am riding the brakes. I have checked the brake fluid and I checked the wiring. This happened after I took it to a shop here in miami! Can any of you out there give me a lead or suggestions as to what may be causing this? I can't ride until it's fixed(obviously) and I'm having withdrawals!!!!!! HEEELPPPP!!!

check the lil spring & plunger on the top of the rear brake near the pivot point of the brake pedal. Wiggle it around and/or adjust it.
If that doesn't work, you probably need new rod bearings

Man that was right on point! Thanks a million. Now there is slightly a new issue. I have a rear set of giullies and the brake side moves about 1/4 if an inch when pressed on which in turn gets that same plunger /spring set stuck. You have any ideas on how to make the whole fixture more stable? or should some WD-40 solve that problem

Don't know what you mean but WD-40 and brakes don't go in the same sentence.

I checked the rear sets and stopped the movement by drilling a hole in the back side of the rear sets and placed a screw. The movement stopped and the lights are working fine now...as for the WD-40...smartass you're right I didn't use it! Thanks 4 your vote of confidence....LOL
