is it ok to mix tire brands front and back

well i gota get another back tire and theres no way im putting dunlops on again. the front tire is still really good. so the question is can I put a different brand back tire on there with the dunlop on the front ?

i didnt have any problems with mine when i had a dunlop on the front and shinko on the back

depending on how you ride, you can prolly get away with mixing....issues come into play when you ride in the rain or if you push it hard.....if I am not mistaken Fishy did a piece on that very thing a while back....

I think that You can do it but why bother, because even if the front has some thread left it has allready worn and it will make the bike turn worse. And if You're allready changing the back it's only 100 or so $ more and You have better riding bike.
