My Buddy(2001ZX6R)Went down today! Ryan posts here occasionally as 2001ZX6R.
Don't really know very much yet. Just got a phone call from his fiance's mother. He is going to be OK but is at University of Michigan hospital with a couple of broken ribs, a torn lung, Possible broken collar bone. She said that was all she knew about but that they were still checking him over. I guess he hit some gravel on the road but I don't really know exactly what happened yet. We just rode together yesterday and I was going to go with him today but I had some stuff to do. I know he was riding fairly mellow yesterday because we were concerned about the tire and road temperature and it was even colder today but I guess a little gravel on the road can fuck you up no matter what. I'll know and post more tomorrow.

Mike, please let me know if Ryan is OK. Man I hate to hear that. I went out this weekend too. 100 miles Sat and 150 on Sunday. BEautiful weather for November but lots of crap in the road and cold pavement makes for delicate riding. Give Ryan my best will you?

Im here Im home now. Probably for the resdt of the week. Injuries include. 1 broken collar bone,4or5 broken ribs, punctured my lung(not bad) and bruised my hip.
I was going around a corner at about 30mph, a car was coming at me, it looked like he was going to cross the double yellow so I shifted over to the right side if the lane. I hit gravel, and bammmmmm. I went into a violent tankslapper and went down. NOT A SCRATCH ON ME WEAR YOUR GEAR GUYS.
I got a ticket for excessive speed or something, I guess the cop was a real asshole. He is the last of my worries. Thank you for the kind words guys and gals.
Pain killers are starting to set-in!! Good night
P.s My riding days are over. Im not being a pussy, but seeing my fiance crying in the ER room did more damage to me then the accident. I love her more than anything in this world, and seeing her smile rather than crying gives me more of a rush than this bike ever did. Take care all and ride safe.

Man I am glad you're OK Ryan. Understood about seeing your wife in the ER. Nothing is worse, and I mean no pain is worse than seeing your wife crying about something, especially about you. Heal up fast. I have been where you are and the only peice of advice I can give you is... don't make any decisions right now about getting rid of the bike, wait til spring.
