1361 Install Question
Are there any special tools required? Is the installation something that can be done at home or will I definitely need to have it done at a shop?

Special tools
Rac,
I wouldn't say you need "special" tools but you will need "complete" tools. Can you effectively wash parts and do you have a clean environment? You are completely disassembling the engine, and the importance of having a proper workspace is always underestimated. You'll maybe need an extra pair of hands to put the cylinder on, the rings can be frustrating. Bearing clearances should be right, but they should be checked. Can you do that? You'll want to dial in the cams, so you'll need dial indicators, degree wheel, etc.

tools needed
Thanks for the reply Doug. I have a parts washer and pretty extensive set of tools and I have experience building LT1 engines for my Z28 and Trans-Am however I've never built a bike motor. I know how to use plastigauge and check clearances. Just wondering if there is anything specialized I would need. Thanks again.
