Strokers, how reliable?
Being I am rebuilding my bike anyway, I have decided to go with a 4mm stroke also, falicon is doing it. BUT, will it last? Or, is it something I will regret having done in the long run?

you will NOT regret it unless:
1. you don't like the smell of tire smoke - makes you cough
2. you don't like to badly blow away Busas and other 12's - peace & love
3. you don't wanna see 200mph on yr GPS - its irresponsible
4. you don't like a silly grin on your face - you are not a kid
Don't worry about longevity, life is fleeting, grab it!!!!!

Consider that 59.5mm is still smaller than a STOCK busa stroke on the showroom........hmmmm

If you don't like honest to god, third gear roll on wheelies, riding around in 6th thinking the bike is in 3rd because of the excess power, don't do it. In reality it is an economical issue. You don't have to thrash the bike to go fast. And as I always say, it is really a matter of safety. I like to think I can get out of trouble faster then pretty much anyone else can!! And ya know you can't argue about safety!!!!!!!!!!!

Got 3500 hard ass miles on mine and counting. I don't expect it to live forever though. It's a risk I can live with. 159mph in the quarter last time out! Stock wheelbase!

Get a billet crank!! NO reliability issues at all. You have to realize a stroked crank has been welded on and "pressed" back straight. Some day, one day......the stresses will finally catch up with it. Just a chance you take with a welded crank. It is an cheaper way (3695 for billet crank!!) to make big power, though.
