Tightened Steering Stem Bearings

Been feeling a weird vibration when I hit the seams in the road and crossing bridge expansion joints. Put the bike up on stands, and low and behold my steering Stem was a tad loose. Pulled the crown off and adjusted/tighten the nut a tad reassembled and what a differnce!

Landing Wheelies is probably not all that good for the bearings!!! The job would have been easier if my spanner wrench wasn't in the race tool box setting in our race trailer at Swft's house. But a creativity and a brass punch did the job!!

For shits and giggles I will check on the cost for similar bearings on a Ducati or a KTM. I would not be suprised if the cost is three times more if not higher.

MSRP for the steering head bearings and seals (the come togther) for a KDX 200 is about double that.
