Just got word!!!!

Her Hubby just called and said that she moved her Arm and a leg today while he was at the hospital....

At least this rules out the Fully Paralyzed....

(she moved the arm and leg that was not broken)

YEEE-FUCKIN'-HAW! You GO GIRL!

There are SO MANY good things that this could indicate and get all of our hopes up over. Of course, we need to temper our optimism with some reasonable caution... but this is GREAT NEWS! I hope that this will give some comfort to the other riders. I can't even imagine their heartbreak over this.

MORE GOOD THOUGHTS.... MORE PRAYERS....

If one thing is for sure, the folks here have gotten pretty good at this stuff and have a decent "track record" of success! Let's keep it UP!

Be careful with the Kevlar. A bad crash with Kevlar usually means severe burns from the heat. No one has found a better replacement for leather.

Your friends are in my thoughts and prayers. Clearly they are lucky to even be alive; prayers may carry them (especially her) to full recovery.

Take care everyone.

Sometimes we take for granted what is really important in life....self preservation and family. May God Bless your friends in their health and recovery, and all the board members who have acknowledged this accident.

Update:

Some good and bad news -

They have now had time to ex-ray and fully check her over.
We found out that she has -

Good News -
No fractures to the scull
No broken leg - just road rash badly
They conducted a test and she did move one leg and one arm.

Bad News -
a couple huge lacerations to the head
Her brain is swollen and she is in coma
Her neck is broken
Broken Collar Bone
Arm is broken in two places.
Broken Pelvic bone.

I believe that she will have to have surgery for the Pelvic bone, Arm and Neck but I am not sure when or if they can do this while she is in coma!!!

Prayer is important and we wish her a speedy recovery! And dont underestimate the miracle of the human body to recover! It is still amazing to me the healing process especially after a devastating accident... keep positive! She will get better!!!

Her Hubby said that she does move a little and makes little facial expressions like she is in pain....This is a good thing...It means that her brain is working!!!!
