That did suck, didn't it. Wish the track didn't have the lap traffic on it where they were running during those last few laps, it may have been a different race. Sometimes it works for you, sometimes it doesn't. Maybe EB could learn some of the lap traffic passing moves from Yates' that he used during the 600 race.
Give credit where credit it due, congrats to Nickey.

Honestly, with the gearing change on the RC51, the ZX7RR just didn't have the poop to keep up with him. Eric got yarded pretty bad by Nicky. Wonder if anyone has asked Nicky 'Do you think you'd be faster than Eric on the ZX7RR?'

Not bad for an ancient machine with 250 less cc's. Congrats to Eboz!

Come on... The bike Eboz rides is far from ancient. It is the most sofisticated, exotic piece of equipment Kawasaki has come up with. Using the logic everyone wants to spew about poor Eric and the ZX7 then we should be feeing sorry for Baylis too.
Kawasaki and Ducati have found platforms that they believe work and have spent years refining them. Whether the philosophy works or not is a question for you to answer. But making excuses for Eboz is BS. And didn't Miladin win 3 AMA championships in a row on the same old drab GSXR?
Perhaps a little less globetritting this year and Erik is more in the running with Nickey. But then again when they have competed on a regular basis in any given class Nickey has one out. Erik one the 600 class essentially after NIckey left the class and as much as I hate to say it (because I hate the guy) after Kurtis stop campaigning seriously in the 600 class.
As for what Nickey would say if he were asked if he would do as well on a Kawasaki, well as a Honda rider he would say no. As a racer Nickey would look to win on anything.
Currently the top riders in the AMA is a very small group. both of these guys are in that group, as it sets Nickey has won more and did it better so far then Eric.
It's Ok to be a fan but stop making lame ass excuses. Hayden has been the best rider of the season. He has ridden with a purpose and with the exception of his taking Haga out at Laguna he has used pretty good judgement in amassing points.

And as far as that goes, it's all about bucks. Honda wins because they have the most money to spend. On R&D, and on riders.

Lets see you Own Kawasakis and thats it. You have always owned Kawi's and your idea of not being brand specific is having a red 12 a silver 12 and now a Silver zzr silver. If Kurtis Roberts rode a Kawi you would cheer for him!
And if money could buy the championship I beleive Harley might have won one in the past five years!!

No excuses coming from here, Nickey is a hell of a rider, all the Haydens are, Earl did good.
There is something to be said about Honda bucks. If EB does win enough Honda will buy him away from Kawasaki. It worked last year with RC.
Before you flame me about a rider needing to get what they can while they can I know and understand all that. I still don't have to like it.

The question is who does the scouting for Honda. They took the flier on the Haydens pretty damn early. Obviously someone in the organization saw the upside.
As for Carmichael it has been a long time since Honda spent that kind of money to hook the number one guy. Honda had been pretty damn good at picking young guys in the dirt to. And Suzuki and Yamaha didn't seem to mind nabbing MaGrath and his #1 plate. You have to wonder about Kawasaki and how they let Carmichael get away.
Of course look at Kevin Windam a few years back, he wins everything on the 125, Yamaha builds this giant ad campaign around him and he goes to Honda! And he proceeds to do crap for Honda!!
I think one of the main things that is overlooked is the total comitment that the Honda organization has. Much like Ducati has on the World Supebike scene. It also takes a special rider to not be overcome or intimidated by the organization. Hayden besides being talented, is pretty flamboyant and out going. His personality woks with the Honda machine. I beleive at the same age Eric was not ready and would have been swallowed by the Honda machine.
In many ways it would appear that the two riders have found a fit. And as fans we get the benefit of just what that fit is. I think the chapter in racingthat I have enjoyed is getting close to the end. The talent, humor, and succes of Duhamel has really been fun. I am not cetain how much longer he will hang around. I would like to see Duhamel leave the game a success instead of an old washed up racer. I also think Miguel has provided some maturity and good advice to Nickey.
Things could be worse, we could only have GP racing available and then we could watch Rossi win every race!

You can analyze it 'til the cows come home. Eric didn't win. I think that sucks. Period.

You own a raptor because why? Oh yeah Kawasaki soesn't make anything like it except for a farm tractor. You own an SV why? Because Kawasaki doesn't make anything like it except for a trail bike. If they made something close to they would be green!!
Your the guy on drugs! Or has the infection gone away??!!

I happen to own more than just Kawasaki (ZX12R and numerous Triples). I own a V65 Sabre (Honda), and an FJ1200 (Yamaha). No Suzuki's. They don't build anything I want. Now if they build the B-King, that could change. I hope this is alright with everybody.

Been in a hole?

Do you like your naked bike to have lots of horsepower and torque. Don't want to mess around with a small displacement engine that needs lots of work to make it powerful? Suzuki has the answer.
At the Tokyo Motor Show, Suzuki is displaying the Boost King -- a naked bike with a turbocharged Hayabusa engine. More than enough horsepower and torque to satisfy the power freaks among us.
Unfortunately for the power crazed, this is only a concept bike. Suzuki is clearly working on a more modern naked -- something to compliment the many, big-bore nakeds in its line-up (all retro styled).
In any event, the Boost King concept is a good looking bike (in our opinion). The headlight/mini fairing is nice, along with the manner in which many of the functional aspects of the machine are displayed. Frankly, the Boost King looks like the Darth Vader of motorcycles. This is a good thing for many buyers in this category.
Will Suzuki manufacture the Boost King, or something like it? Probably so, but who knows when. In the meantime, we can look and hope.

Didn't know it was called the B-King. But as I stated the first time I saw this picture , " I'll buy two if they actually make and sell them! This thing and the Honda VTR Concept bike are about the bikes that they should be making instead of the friggin Hornet and FZ1 (naked R1?).
Oh and buy the way I have not been in a hole I am merely still high from Nutec fumes!!!
