lemans ZX12R racing NEWS I 'm triyng to encourage Team Scratch-Moto in their effort to make the 12R known world wide as a great racing bike.
They did something that we all dream about . . . they raced the 12R at Lemans 24 hours..Prodigious setup..
Like always in France, someone has a great idea and they put a lot of effort into it, but afterwards, you don't hear anything more and it gets forgotten.
That's extremly sad and a page of History passes by..
I would like to invite them to show their 12 in the US.
If we all send them an email, I really think that will cheer them up a lot...
It would be a great surprise to see American interest in their efforts... A dream.
It would be great to have a french-american collaboration on the 12R.
My idea is to inundate them with encouraging messages.
If we all write an email imagine how excited they would be.

I'd sure like to see someone run one in AMA Formula Extreme here; although we all know it wouldn't be competitive against GSXR1K, R1's, etc. The 100lb.+ weight difference is just insurmountable.
However on some of the faster tracks (like Le Mans) here in the USA, it might be able to keep up on long straights. Tracks like Daytona, Brainerd, Elkhart Lake, etc.; with a GREAT rider aboard he might be able to take advantage of the extra HP & speed capability.
Ok, all members send me a $20 bill. I'll turn mine into a roadrace bike. It's already halfway there....

Enjoy the ride!

EBD - My 1270 Endurance bike will be back together in time for the Aug 30 race (Pacific Northwest Endurance Series) in Spokane, WA. Kinda like returning to the scene of the crime (heh heh), since that is where we ventilated the block the last time. But wtf, will be taking it out with an improved oiling system, new bearings everywhere, and even better brakes. I just hope I have enough time to shake it down before racing!

Yeah, good idea to take it for a couple rides & at least get it broken in a little. I gather it's not street legal anymore; you could always truck it up to some backroad. Slicks work great on the street!
Wish I could come up & root for/watch you. Your the only ZX12R roadracer on the West Coast I know of... Alas, broke... ____________

In grey hair
He told me a lot about it and about the new Z"R"-10 coming very soon ( surprise) street fighter style and the upcoming ZX-10..

Also Michel told me how Suzuki conduct their business on race.
Lets make it clear that The Suzuki racing made everything in their power to ovoid the 12 to race at lemans. and they did sucseed after the 2001 lemans it was threatening the Suzuki's sales.( politics politics !! )
EastbayDave i'll telll you more The Hayabusa was incapable to rich a good amount of HP's with the requirement of Lemans specifications. The 12 was in all angles SUPERIOR .
You'll never read that on the magazines..
Also The Kawasaki dealer France was very pist by the fact that they had to test for the magazines the ZX12R vs the Hayabusa 1999.
The 12 was restricted to 106 HP's and not the Hayabusa because it was made in 1999...
