Fuck I crashed!!!!!!

Well fuck me. I crashed my damn bike tonight about an hour ago or so. Pride is hurt more than anything. I had just got on the bike and left to go for a spin. Went to take the first corner, only going 25 or 30 mph or so and washed the front end out. Cold tires and cold pavement don't mix. Both lowers are fucked as well as the upper, blinker punched hole in on side when it flipped over in the grass. Alternator cover ground down pretty good and clutch lever is rashed as well as mirror and left passenger peg. Upper fairing bracket looks like its bent as well. This sucks, supposed to be warm again today, but no riding for me. I just want to get it fixed. I dont even want to see it until my bike is fixed 100 percent.

Oh yeah a little rasberry on right knee. Visor on helmet scratched a little spot on left arm when I went down and thats it, pretty off well I would say..

Sorry about your fall!!! Cold pavement and tires dont mix at all!! Kept being reminded of it all last Sat. night!! Having a nearly bald tire doesnt help much either!!

Man ZXLNT, I'm really sorry to hear that!! Really sorry.
Glad to hear you're ok, too.

I know what you mean about not wanting to see it again until it's 'whole'. At least it's winter time. :-/

Hope the insurance pans out well for you.

One thing that is missed about the 70's - 80's bikes is the metal. I laid down my '80 hawk 4 times and never had to replace anything.

ZXLNT, Just so I can learn something from your mishap, what was the ambient temp, what brand of tires and how far had you ridden? It's getting into the 30s here and I feel alot of tire slipping going on. Not sure how far I can push it. Thanks in advance for the info.

ZX, sounds like the bike got the worst of it.
You made out well and thats more important. Plastic and aluminum can be replaced.

Thanks for all the nice comments guys. I KNOW the bike can be fixed I have insurance to do that. I can't afford to pay out the pocket to fix it so I'll let the insurance company do that. Know how to fixed my wounded pride dammit!!! I'll get over that as well.

12R Pilot. Stock D207's and I had ridden it about 1/8-1/4 mile, I mean noooooo heat in the tires. Regular residential corner turned in leaned over pretty good I gess and the front just washed out from what buddy said. I would gess in temp in the 50's maybe. It was pretty cool. Damn thing is, I know better than to push tires when cold, but didn't really think I was pushing hard at all into the corner.
