You never forget your first Kaw.
1978 KZ650SR.
I was digging around the closet and found this picture. It was my first "real" street bike and it treated me well even though I did everything I could to hurt it. Out ran every Honda 750 around. It was a fun machine is its'day, this picture was taken in about 1979.
And I still have it.

First Kaw
That is a sweet KZ650! I love the A/C inline fours!
My first Kaw was a KX80 MotoCross. Here is a shot of my 85 turbo, with the lowers taken off:

I still have it. Ive had it for about 6 years. I bought it in California. It's got more mods than you can shake a stick at.

900Z1
I think it was April 73, I remember like it was yesterday. I take this 900 Z1 for a ride, well the rest is history.
Many later, I have my sweet 12.
I can't wait for the next generation.

Only Kawasaki for me!
First street bike 1984 KZ700. Bought from a friend of mine. I've had 3 ZX10's and now the 00 ZX12R. Still have the KZ, a 90 ZX10 and the 12R. Hop off the 12 onto the 700 and it's like riding a moped. Man that thing used to be FAST!

It was either an 81 or 82 GPz-550. It was the first year they came out with the single rear shock. With about 6000 miles on it I T-boned a Mazda 626 about 50 mph. I went on to buy several more GPz-550s and was the first on my block to get the 600R. Back then kawi 550s were the bike to have if you were club racing.

Dave,
My first Kaw was a 1978 KZ1000 that I still have today. I've had a bunch of bikes come and go, but it's a keeper (along with the 12 of course).
I'm watching the weather and will let ya know what day we will be at the Finals. Take care.

1974 Z1-a 900cc was my first kawasaki
I had a yoshimura header and took off everything I could to make it lighter. That bitch would fly , I was 19.It was a wobbling cow around corners and I had put koni rear shocks, drilled and tapped the front forks for air,Triangular braced the three fork tubes under the tank and drilled and reamed the engine mount bolt to close tolerance and modified aircraft allen head bolts to fit.It was handy being a machinist in the airforce! I still have it , although it's not running.

Z1 The First Superbike!
Z1 - Spoke wheels, single disk brake front, drum rear, and a tuned Kerker. In the seventies, that bitch spanked EVERYTHING. Beat the living shit out of that bike everyday.

First Kawasaki
I was surprised that no one had the original "Put something exciting between your legs bikes" The two stroke triples were really cool! I bought my first Kawasaki back in high school. It was a green '74 CDI H1 500 triple with expansion chambers. A really quick bike that sounded way too cool. Had a couple more smokers too H1's and an H2 before I bought a '78 model stardust silver Z1R. I've been letting the "good times roll" ever since. I'm on a ZRX now. - Sam

First Kaw?
My first Kawasaki was an S3. That is 400cc triple two stroke.... Basically british racing green.
Ummmm, well there was an S2 before that, but I never figured out why it didn't run right so I sold it.
The guy I sold it to figured out that the primary wiring to the coils was shorting to the gas tank. Of course, it seemed to run fine when the tank was off and we were trying to troubleshoot it.
