FYI I've got 3500 miles on my Pilot Power 2CT's, and there is still good tread left on the rear. The key is not doing any burnouts or 1/4 mile racing... I have alot of freeway miles on them, though. Maybe 2000 of those miles are freeway. Got alot of all out riding on them, too, and even had them in the wet and they performed great. Check out my vid in the zx14 forum, I had to keep the rpms low becuase of all the moisture and even puddles of water, but not enough to take the fun out of the ride. I'm very impressed with them!

the 016 OEM tire and off the shelf tire will be different.....as is true with any OEM/Self tire....

Sticks, I could never get 3500 miles out of Pilot Powers on the 12. I think the key to the mileage I am getting on the Roads is that I know the traction isnt there, so I am not abusive on the throttle, if I know I have the traction, I tend to use it......lol

I am up to 3500 miles on them and expect atleast 2k more.....the tires are wearing great. Took them or a 600 mile trip up through western New Mexico, and eastern Arizona a few weeks back, The tires did/do great. I am still running the lower pressures, and the wear is awsome, traction decent, and feedback is ok.

If I lived in Florida or was staying here in west Texas I would get another set of tires when these were worn out. As I am headed back east and will have more curves to ride, I will prolly go with the Bridgestone 016s as I can get it in a 190/55 series which I like in a street tire.

Looks like the Pilot Road 2s will be on until spring as I cant seem to wear them out.......lol

Just was wondering why you need a high mileage tire. In ten months you only put about 3,500 miles on your bike. Your probably better off running a cheaper tire.

Road 2's are damned expensive IMO. There is no way they should cost more than the Power 2CT's!! But they do.

I was saving money for some road2's and the 016 came out. I like the 190/55 idea also. Sounds like the milage on the road 2's is gonna be good.

The 016 will be the next tire I test out on the ZX12.....may put a set on the ZX10 if it goes back to street duty. At this rate it will be a LONG time before I NEED new tires on the ZX12. I cant seem to wear these dam Pilot Road 2s out.......lol

4000 miles on them so far. The last time I got 4000 miles out of a set of tires it was the OE Dunlops on my Nomad......lol
