Hey shipteey don't know what your on about saying I insulted you WTF?
----You stated: posted January 26, 2008 06:07 AM: shi'teey when you understand how ideas are tools, you will be ready for the toolkit. Lets not play the "typo" card now.
you need to do some research before running other people down.
----You don't know how much research I have done.
As my mate Ken has already said I have done over 200mph atleast 5 times on a stock motor'd 12r with pipe,pc3,filters, avon 200/55@60psi at woodbridge UK. best was 204.8mph thanks for asking
-----Great. A different Make, Model and sized tire.
None of the speeds recorded in the club are authenticated by any official body,
----NOTED.
they are accurate though and as non official records go there's some fast fuckers in the UK (Jack Frost does hold an official record) and from outside the UK who race here. theres probably a dozen or so hardcore who are aiming for Big speeds.
I've moved on to a big bore motor now with my 12r looking to break 210 this year.
questioning the integrity of authenticated records set by a well known tuner/rider on a open forum is asking for a good kicking.
----At least I come right out and ask instead of others on the board who feel the same and keep their mouth shut because they are cowards.
DM does not know me from fucking adam but he has always given me good advice when asked and no doubt to hundreds of other wannabe speed junkies F.O.C, bad mouthing one of the most well known Kawasaki tuners in the USA is definitely not cricket.
----You are entitled to your opinion.
You should apologise then shut the fuck up about it, your making your self look a right plonker!
----Why on earth would I apologize? If anything DM should apologize for misleading the public, not me for pressing him until he finally cracked. Aside from the truth, one thing that has surfaced are people's true colors. Never once have I made personal insults, yet I've received them from many on the board. I've also had people who I thought were friends throw me under the train tracks just so they can be part of some "in" crowd...its High School all over again. I am actually glad that all of this type of stuff has surfaced, I don't mind being some sort of "common enemy" so everyone can stand around and pat each other on the back as they take shots. Really, words can't describe how happy I truely am to know people's true colors....better now than later when you've actually forged something resembling friendship. Now I can focus on bumping up my own speeds and breaking more records instead of what I used to do which was help as many 12 guys I could go as fast as possible. Fish, you or any of your affiliates show up at Maxton I'll be happy give them my BIkeland hat I bought. Only worn once or twice, in great condition. Just give me a heads to remind me, thanks.

Again, it's not that someone's necessarily wrong about the info they put out or receive... it's more about how, when and where it gets put out or received.
A private back and forth between Ali and Doug would of certainly been more suitable. And by looking at their responses to each other it would of been much more productive with less words. The final findings posted here would of been more accepted by everyone else of course(without the BS which was mostly "my dad's better then your dad" cause he says so, and "that guy is just a punk" cause I THINK so). It's one thing to call someone somehting when you know them and will say it face to face one on one from prior knowledge, but it's another to say the stuff that's been said in here publicly by many that don't personally know the parties they are talking to or about(for whatever reason, there's more then one set of nads being swung by in here for sure).
Ali, you have a way of getting under someone's skin with your righteousness, no matter how righteous your beliefs really are! Backing off is sometimes a larger sign of wisdom and knoweldge then stating the obvious - and will most of time end up with the desired result when all things are said and done.
On the other hand, some of the arrow yeilding band wagon riders that don't hitch a ride until the wagon's wheels are rolling is pretty sad, especially considering the amount of positive feedback and informative input I've seen Ali support this list, it's admins and members with both on and off the forums since I've been peeking in here and there(I wouldn't be in here if it wasn't for him telling me all the positive things about so many of you that are bashing him for sharing his thoughts).
I don't see many in the list of posters that has much to be proud about how any of this thread was handled.... unfortunate as it could of been as informative and had just as much of a positive outcome as many other posts on here.
Thanks for the smiles and don't forget to ride between self promotions. ;-)

Its a matter of principle. When a site admin insults and provokes me when I never cast the first stone at them it speaks VOLUMES about how things are done on their site and what they stand for as a person. Unless I'm mistaken Fish you have NO CLUE about top end runs and yet you jumped in and started talking trash to me. Like you said, this is YOUR living room but that doesn't mean I have to support it.

All i have to say is:
any of you guys (especially Ship) that choose of own free will to race @ Maxton which in my opinion is one click this side of riding on the Moon,, has got to get there head examined,, i would much rather run the Long Island Expressway @ night in between EXITS 48-52,,( i just paved them!) and deal with the Suffolk County Police,, then Deal with all the Cracks and pot holes at that Maxton place,, can you guys tell me if Maxton is better than any of the other long range tracks? why cant the do something with the surface? what is it an old air field? i know back in the early 90s in Las Vegas (actually Henderson , Nevada)
we used to race at the old Sky Harbor Airport (1 mile) but it was in way better shape ,, than what i saw in the video.

The track is pretty smooth at speed. It has come a long way since the old videos. It is much safter at Maxton than racing on the street. For one thing, paramedics are onsite at the time of the runs. Another is that the runs are regulated and only one vehicle is allowed on the course at a time. And, of course there are no cops, predestrians, cars, etc. to create hazards.

Nah.. after 66 years the surface isn't getting any better. I wouldn't reccomend running there to anyone.
