Ali,
I enjoy your company but you are being a 110% ass about this.
Different tires grow differently. I didn't think i had to spell that out to you.
Different tires spin more or less, and i don't think i need to point that out either.
Doug clocked 199.1 and you keep on yapping like a lil doggie.
Is there an explanation? sure there is. BUT Doug lying just isn't one of the choices.
Give it a fukken rest.
You are making yourself look bad, and i don't like that, 'cause i think you are are a true enthusiast.

Entropy, you are entitled to your opinion. Of course different tires grow differently, but I wasn't sure what the relevance was to the topic. Were you inferring that the tire growth of a Dunlop 200/50 207 was going to balloon up and give him the extra 3 mph? If so, wouldn't that have also come in to play on others with the same set-up?
In case it isn't obvious, I am letting the issue go with Doug, but if people want keep taking shots I an entitled to defend myself or my point. Its ok for people to come out of the woodwork and take shots with no cred?
You are right, I do consider myself a true enthusiast. Anyone who has wanted to go faster and joined the boards after I did probably sooner or later got nothing but as much HELP as I could give them, not snide remarks and condescending tone, which is more than what I can say for others. To me, this isn't a popularity contest where I have to win the adoration of every zx12 rider or every board member. One thing is for sure, if someone wanted to know how I yielded a particular speed I would give them as much info as I could.
You want to call me an ass and compare me to a dog? Noted.

Haha, so its like that fishy? Telling me to fuck off, showing a gay rainbow?? Guess thats all you can say since this topic is way over your head.
You jumped in LATE, I already posted that I'm done w/Doug's 199 run didn't I? You're the friggin admin but I guess you were out to lunch, not my fault you were snoozin. Since when does someone holding a record make them immune from questioning? I'm glad I questioned him and got the truth.
I don't remember you coming to Bergie's aide when the 1361 motor came into questioning...why not just get off of DM's nuts already. He gets my respect and I'm sure he doesn't need you cheerleading for him when the crowd has left the stadium there fishyboy.

What I do find funny though fish is that you keep on trying to stir up the pot when its already OVER. Comparing me not believing DM went 199 with just a pipe does NOT put me in the same category as someone who denies the holocaust exists.
Remember, DM already ADMITTED there was more to it than that? How is that the same thing?

That chemical Ali pic is funny as fuck.
Hey shipteey don't know what your on about saying I insulted you WTF? you need to do some research before running other people down.
As my mate Ken has already said I have done over 200mph atleast 5 times on a stock motor'd 12r with pipe,pc3,filters, avon 200/55@60psi at woodbridge UK. best was 204.8mph thanks for asking
None of the speeds recorded in the club are authenticated by any official body, they are accurate though and as non official records go there's some fast fuckers in the UK (Jack Frost does hold an official record) and from outside the UK who race here. theres probably a dozen or so hardcore who are aiming for Big speeds.
I've moved on to a big bore motor now with my 12r looking to break 210 this year.
questioning the integrity of authenticated records set by a well known tuner/rider on a open forum is asking for a good kicking.
DM does not know me from fucking adam but he has always given me good advice when asked and no doubt to hundreds of other wannabe speed junkies F.O.C, bad mouthing one of the most well known Kawasaki tuners in the USA is definitely not cricket.
You should apologise then shut the fuck up about it, your making your self look a right plonker!
Hey Ken good news with the Turbo ...nice one.

Lorcan and Keith Parnell post every now and then, but i dont think im aware of many other guys

There are a few zx12 and zx14 riders and about twice as many bugly owners that turn out at our top speed meetings but its not as big over here.
This year we have 4 confirmed meetings so far,two in the north of England at Elvington and two in the South East at Woodbridge. Both venues are under pressure with noise regulations but we try and keep things sensible.
Most of the regulars look in at www.200mph.net for information on dates venues etc.

Well, I just learned something. If you do a nice long carefully crafted post and then back up a page to check a fact, it all goes away.
Oh well, let's sum up.
Ship doesn't, nor will he ever, believe. And that's OK with me.
Many do not read very carefully and twist quotes like a politician. Not very becoming.
Entropy believes, but based on trust and intuition. Very admirable.
Y2 was skeptical early on, but is accepting. Again, admirable.
The Brits seem to be able to accomplish this same, "mechanically impossible" feat (maybe it's the air). Probably stems from that Churchill-ian determination.
Fish is, as usual, able to come up with a priceless comment complete with graphics.
I'm pretty happy with all of this, especially the humorous turn of tone near the end. So let's call it a day on this one, OK? We can agree to disagree.....

yep I do believe the 199.1 based on trust & intuition, but also an assumption:
I am assuming that IF Doug was being tricky (or out right lying), WTF would he bother to lay claim to 199.1????
The goal was 200.000mph, eh?
