Swingarm Question?
i am going with a newer Black arm ive aquired,, is the swap out cut and dry,, out with the old and in with the new,, or do i need to becareful of any certain things,, is alignment an issue,, or will it go in with no problems,, and what is the difference between the silver 00 arm and the newer black ones? thanx want to tackle it asap since the weather has let up..

Crotch Rocket,, i have a 2000 Model,, and i just got a Black arm off of a 03 i believe,, it says in the manual to slide the square collar into the arm,, the the shaft and to have zero mm between the collar and frame,, how is it to be adjusted and do you tighten the nut side first? never did a arm before on this bike,, how do you tighten one side without the shaft spinning,, HELP LOL

Get the dog bones from the '03 arm, then you'll be fine!!!...Unless your putting lowering links on it, but get them for the '02-'05 arm...Other than that, everything else is the same!!!

You need to buy an OEM swingarm socket for the lock ring thats on the rear brake side of the bike...Hope you have a manual for reference?
You need to hang the bike from a hoist by the subframe or put the bike on a front stand...Or jack the bike up from under the oil pan with a piece of wood on top of the jack making sure its secure for when you remove the swingarm!!!...You need someone or two for extra hands since you never did this before!!!
