Dumb brake question?
if i had very low brake pads,, and i put new braided lines on and bleed them so they function well,, once i put new pads on,, will i get more lever?

huh? as in the lever now has to travel further? no, it will still move the same amount, actually it might move slightly less as the braided lines wont bulge like the rubber ones kinda do.(you dont have to squeeze as far cause the lines dont get bigger/swell)
just dont make the same mistake i did, and just throw in new pads without cleaning the pistons off. they had a bunch of crud built up, and the dust boots or rubber thingers (technical term) kept pushing the pistons back to where they were when the pads were low because of the crud build up. this of course made the brakes drag as new pads are thicker than ones with no material left.

the lever is stiff cause of the new lines,, but she gets tight about 3/4 inch in,, was wondering if nu pads would eat up that slack so she is almost instant,, guess i will find out soon enough,, they should be here in a day or two..
