muzzy's air shifter
I just ebayed me a muzzy's air shifter for 150.00 but didn't realize until I got it that it's the older kill box style instead of the digi-kill. Is anyone running these and have you had pretty good luck with it? I probably shouldn't be concerned just not what I was expecting. Oh, and if anybody has a spare set of instructions I'd pay you for em.

fuck the digi kill. I run standard air kill in 2 bikes for years and havent had one problem.
Standard air with on board compressor, no need to fill bottles, no need for expensive crap to go out..

Remember that the Digi-Kill is a fuel injection kill solution which provides a much smoother and more efficient shift kill than an ignition kill. The Digi-Kill is adjustable for kill time and delay time to compensate for varying setups.

sorry! can't seem to locate them. found one for dry shot though!
it shouldn't be to hard to figure out though, as long as the harness isn't hacked up. everything has a place and just enough harness to reach it.
1. plug that goes inline with horn
2. red power wire goes under the tank cover to spare fuse location
3. for wires coming out of kill box together go to coils(brown i think)
4. several grounds i know one goes under a rear tank mount bolt.
5. most everything is plug and play! and can't really be crossed unless you really work at it. lol
thats about all i can remember.
hope that helps you some. I'll pm you if i find the insruction though.
hell! it may be the one off my old 12! the new owner destroyed it in 3 weeks!

Thanks alot guys. It sounds like it'll probably be just fine without the digi-kill, and I really appreciate all the installation help. I'm always impressed with how well informed these forums are.

I think this could be modified to use ground to the usb PC3 instead of the positive to coils.
In theory it would give you the delay(hose lenght adjustable) and the kill time(software
adjustable) of the digi-kill. Someone posted eariler on how to do it without the air-kill,
but I think this is a better more reliable system.
I could be wrong, but I think the way it is in the picture above, the kill is determined by
the length of time the button is held. This will make shifting inconsistant for most,
but no more than foot shifting only faster.

No sir an air kill switch works with a little orifice inside with a spring as air hits it, it pushes it closed but the air escapes the orifice an it opens back up, the size of that hole determines how long it kills, I have the setup above and you can hold the button down and it doesnt hold the kill any longer. You can hold it down all you want.
Yes you can use the USB also, my friend does it that way also but it kills fuel instead of ignition, if that matters.
