2001 ZX-12R
I have a 2001 ZX-12r, I purchased a PCIIIr, when I recieved it, I loaded the map from the dynojet website for the muzzy pipe and stock air filter, which is all i have done to the bike. Plugged the pc in, then started the bike. The bike had absolutly no acceleration, and started running hot. So I unplugged the pc, and ran it on the stock ecu. The bike ran fine, then a few weeks later, I tried plugging the PC back in, and now the bike wont start at all. On either the pc or the stock ecu. I have checked forums about checking for codes, and there does not seem to be any codes on the bike. It has a constant short flash on the FI light. Can anyone help me?

I just had that problem and wish I could remember what it was.For some reason, checking all the connectors are all the way in comes to mind. This includes wires in these connectors.I have found one or two pop out of the plastic connectors and not make contact. If that doesn't help, back to basics and check grounds and charge the battery.I would ditch the PCIIIR until its running properly again.

The battery is charged to full, and I checked the harness connections, but not the wires. I will check those. The PCIIIR is not hooked up right now, just the stick ecu.

well finally got it to fire, however, it is only running on two cylinders. this is on the stock ecu, not the pciiir. Hoping it is just the spark plugs, the bike has 45000, yes 45000 not 4500, miles on it. did get a fault code to appear too, it seems to be 51. does anyone know what that code is?

Havent had a chance to do anything yet. Had to do some painting in the garage over the weekend, so i didnt want to take the bike apart. I am going to replace the coils, plugs, and valve cover gasket (small oil leak) all at the same time now. Hopefully will be doing that this weekend. Thanks for the help so far!
