cracked wire insulation
I have a couple wires that are starting to crack on the insulation.Has anyone had a problem with splicing a new piece of wire on with all these electronics? The reason I ask,is that at work, the control wires will pick up 10ohms with every splice throwing off the calibration. This is on heating and cooling systems, but made me wonder if it would effect the ecu.I will be using this time, liquid electrical tape to least jumble the coloring codes for the wires.Just curious for future reference.

liquid electrical tape comes in a can with a brush.I last used it on my air horns and speaker wires and seems to hold up pretty good. This stuff brushes on as a liquid and then dries, although I have never checked to see if it is pliable or not.
