PCII or III
I just ordered a PC II and was sent a PC III, I really want a PC IIIr but have found they are on back order, with no end in site. Can anyone give me some advice as to the differences between the II and the IIIr. I knwo I am going to have to send the PCIII back cause I want the ability to make ignition changes.

The PCIII for a 12 is the same, '00-'02.
The PCIIIR model allows timing changes and the PCIII just does fuel maps. There isn't a PCII for a ZX-12, just a III.

Hey Dave, thanks for the info, but now I am really confused, I have a K&N PCII box that is labeled for a 02 ZX12R. But it had a PCIII inside it. I guess i am gonna have to run this PC till i get a IIIr and then sell this one. I have no Idea how long it will be untill I can get my hands on a IIIr though. thanks. Jim

Don't be confused about the picture on the outside of the box, I think they use the same boxes for all the units.
You can get a mechanical advancer from Muzzys and run the PCIII, that's the setup I have.

That's true, the '02 maps are different but the box is the same.

PC dilema
Hey fellas thanks for the info, i am running the map that Doug sent me, but it was for a PCIIIr, I am running the PCIII. I am getting a stumble on the bottom end bad, but it runs strong on top end, I played with the fuel mixture on the bottom richened it up a bit, still a bit of a stumble but not too bad. Anyone got a good map for a PCIII? I am running a full Muzzy exhaust, and plan on a K&N filter as soon as I can get my hands on it. One more question for ya'll, what kind of oil are ya'll running, I am down here in southern GA and its getting warm, I wanna make sure my baby is getting good lube? have heard good things with Motul??? any ideas.. thanks ya'll... To get the low end stumble out you will want to lean it out, not richen. I tried Doug's map and it wasn't good for me down low so I went back to mine.
I use MX4T, I think Doug likes Motul.

Anyone with a good map for my 12 /2000 full Muzzy/filters and PCIIIR ?
That would help me greatly for Road courses.
Thank you.
