00 to 01 motor swap. swap ecu for plug n play??
hey guys, what is the easiest way to put an 00 motor in my 01? i know the cams are different, do i just swap the ecu's?
(my build may be moving in another direction :P)

I thought it was the cam position sensor? No worries, I'm sure entropy & the gang will be along shortly!

did some reading about it, and we could "simply" swap exhaust cams, but it would be really nice if we could just swap out the ecus, couldnt find if that was a confirmed "fix" or not...

No need to swap the cams or cpu. just move the EX Cam positionr tip on the cam to match the one for the cpu you are using.
If want to swap the cpu. I THINK you have to swap the harness.

You do have to swap harness the connector are different.

Actually the wire pins just pull out of the ECU connectors once you unlock it. Even if you had to buy an extra harness to get the right connectors it still would seem easier to me to just pull the wires out of the old connector and shove them into the correct positions on the new connectors rather than completely remove the old harness and install and reroute a new harness.

Also I wonder how hard it would be to modify the Software to work with the different cams?

5 minute fix with this part. The cam pick-up is timed different. This company makes a new pick-up to put on your cam.
