Undercutting ZX12 Tranny!!! Is undercutting neccessary on the 2000 zx12 transmission?! What exactly is undercutting a transmission?!

No, it is not necessary. The gears are undercut from the factory. And undercut gear is not a straight cut gear. It had been undercut to help ease gear engagement, as I recall.

Undercuting the dogs on the gears helps keep the gears engauged under hard excelleration. The angle of the cut keeps the gears from wanting to slip away from each other under load.
This is deffinately nessesary w/ big powerfull engines like the 12's!!
