formal apology to eastbaydave and every other member

eastbay,

what can i say, based on the member support of you and the kind words everyone has for you i have taken a second look at this entire fiasco.
i believe i was very abrupt with my lude comments and i offer my hand out as an apology. i misunderstood your intentions, i mistakenly thought that you were being condescending towrds me but i can now see (based on member testimony)that i was just a little hypersensitive and lashed out rather than discuss the matter like a gentlemanly zx12 owner.
believe it or not i'm a pretty good guy, i hope that my apology makes that a little clearer. i have had nothing but positive good support and help from this site since day one, and i;d like to think of myself as a contributor, not a detractor.
on behalf of all members i ask you to not go based on my one misunderstanding. if anyone must go, i'd think it should be me. although i really dont want to go either.

so there you have it,

i bow my head in shame,

jason

Jason, apology accepted.

Like you said: "Takes a big man to admit when he is wrong, but it takes an even bigger man to forgive him." Thoust artse forgivenish. Suggest you read a little closer, & don't fly off the handle/don't be so abrasive when people are trying to help you...

Group hug all...(yuck!) Thank you everyone for your support; I'm not going anywyhere.... Just got back from a little ride; this bike is such a joy! Couple blasts in the upper rev ranges clear up the head good!

I think Jason370 is used to seeing 90% of the boards on the internet. And was expecting this one to be the same.
It doesnt seem to matter what the board topic is about, bikes, cars, computer hardware etc., on most boards people degrade each other and trash talk. So naturally he must of thought this board was the same as all the rest.

This board is the most civilized bike board on the net that I have ever seen. Thats why I stick around. Most of them arnt worth spit. And naturally if Jason was checking out bike boards on the net then he knows this.

So Jason, now you can understand why people on this board are so defensive of it and its contents. It truely is the best zx12r board on the net. So stick around and welcome.

As long as I'm on the topic... I've noticed a downward spiral in some of the other boards I used to frequent. I posted a reply on esportbike one time about Fuel injection. A guy had a very good question about the zx12r's fuel injection, and wanted to know why the zx12r(that he saw) had an o2sensor. I simply replied that it wasnt from the factory and it was most likely just used for reading the A/F ratio. He was ok with that. But then the posts from other people started about how I was full of shit and I didnt know what the fuck I was talking about etc. It seemed that a few people on there wanted everyone to believe that Fuelinjection REQUIRES an O2 sensor to operate. And that ALL FI bikes had one I was just too stupid to know where it was. I asked these fellas to tell me where it was on the zx12. But they vanished. POOF !! Gone. Seems they just wanted to sling some mud and had no interest in helping this guy with his question.

Its a shame easyriders site is falling into a similar pattern. I dont think its his fault. It may be the shear numbers of people on it.?? But the topics are getting more weak and the insults fly a lot more now than a year ago.
LaBusas got in that mode for a while but it seems to have gotten better again in the last several months.

I think if people dont respond to antagonistic posts the antaganistic posters go to another board where the action is hot. ???
I dont know, just a theory.

I Missed It

I have no clue what happened but, doing what you did makes you a man. Eating crow is sometimes the best way to back it down a knotch. Welcome to the board and remember that the people here are really good people.

whats especially interesting about the very civilized behaviour here is that it has not been brought about thru moderating. i frequent a local bike board that is heavily moderated, and the admins have a policy of no flamin (how borin is that?). but despite all the upfront efforts to make it a good atmosphere, it still degrades into stupidity. i think it has much to do with the slightly older demographic of this board for one thing. and perhaps the forced registration helps too (not sure about that one). if only the whole world could be like this

y2k could not have said it better.
i have been very surprised by the good nature of all posts and the very helpful nature of almost everyone here. i expected different. when i misunderstood eastbaysdaves response i let it all out on him, undeservedly so.
i appreciate your acceptance eastbay, and i very much appreciate everyones backing of my apology.
i think the matter is over and maybe, just maybe we are all a little better for it. i know i am

I logged on last nite for the first time in a week or so and for a minute there I thought Maverick was back. Then I thought somebody was baiting for flame. Then I had a few choice words, but I thought better of it and deleted, deciding instead to keep my nose out of it. Glad it's all worked out now. As it's been said EBD is one of the great folks here and this board is full of 'em...... ( 'cept for Bart, he really aint worth a shit )

Slapin' me around frEEk?

whats especially interesting about the very civilized behaviour here is that it has not been brought about thru moderating.

Well, frEEk's right. My "title" of moderator is just that... a title. I really don't have any "duties" per se, because this site and it's forums are basically "self policed" by it's membership. With over 2500 topics on this forum alone, I don't read every one of them. The "Helibar" post was one of them, since I would rather lower, instead of raise, my bars.

Indeed, EBD is one of this forum's most knowledgable members and it would be a serious and tragic loss for all of us to no longer have his input.

My hat's off to you jason, for having the courage to start this thread. No need to do the same for EBD. For those that have enjoyed and been educated through his posts, we've always expected nothing less from him then to remain being the stand up kind of guy he has always been.

I also glad that the membership stepped in to clarify the "issues". Thanks to them, it allows me to remain the "do nothing" moderator.

between this board and the yzf forum on ezboard, refreshing reading.

sportbikes.net is lame, but occasionally something decent is there.
(i said occasionally!!)

anyway thanks for a civilized board, and civilized group rides.
ANY excuse to ride is a good one, even with a puny 600. ;P

Let's cut the bullshit.....

Bart is a fucking homo. Anyone who'd where some broke assed "Disco Duck" sneakers like that would suck the fuzz of a goddamned tennis ball. I bet he'd suck the sheets up into the crack of your ass. I personally saw him suck start his 12 in May, and the then just to be showing out he stuck his mouth back over the tip of his pipe, clamped down with his lips, and then stalled the engine. Now if that ain't "Bitch Type" tallent then I don't know what the fuck is.

Speading the love.........
