I have the Ultra 30 Liter Tank Bag. I like it fine. It works good on my 12.

no, but now that you have mentioned it - it would be nice to have the back pack conversion kit.....

As a tank bag it works good. It's obviously not as easy to install as a magnetic bag but what can I say....

Installation takes a wopping 5 minutes on the 12. I often leave the base in place when I'm not using the bag..... Mainly because I'm lazy and don't feel like removing the base.....

so once the base is in place, you can either zip the bag on and off of it or once zipped you can also unsnap the base, is that correct?

yes... that is correct.....

of course if you unsnap the base then you have the staps dangling free...

just how free are they dangling? an inch, two? what if you want to ride without the base on, do you just deal with straps dangling and blowing at 140mph? how do you tie them off, if at all?

just to follow up, i bought a wolfman xl tank bag (strap, not magnetic), tailbag, and saddlebags. i highly recommend them to all. the quality in stitching , zipper, and detail is top notch. this setup holds a ton of stuff, and its pretty low key.

I have Tourmaster's TB-18 on my 12. Got it in blue to match my bike perfectly.

Make sure you get the extended, larger version of their tank pad, cause the 12's tank is so big it will stretch out the regular size one. Looks real good. It's 18Liters.

I like the Marsee stuff dont get me wrong, but price per liter, Tourmaster wins.
