Installed a New Seat and Undertail...

I installed a Tiger Racing undertail to make room for underseat bottles, and a Catalyst step seat. Both came out pretty decent:

Hopefully next week I will get the nitrous installed, and the 'Busa front fender, in time for Maxton...

The seat was $180. It is about an hour install, as it doesn't have any holes drilled in it. A little cursing, some bubblegum (to mark the holes), and patience. This is a race part, so perfection is unlikely.

I'll be trying the seat at the dragstrip tomorrow. Felt really good on the test ride...

Really seems to clash with the rest of the bike IMO Shane. I have a black step seat that would be

PERFECT

for your bike!

I'll make due with the ugly carbon fiber, it would match my ugly tail seciton and grotesque wheels!

While Everything is still clean, take some Black Duct Tape and seal the Plate to the Frame. It is amazing how much Dirt can get in that area doing Burn outs and other things.

I forgot to add, After taping the inside, then tape the outside so the exposed Sticky part of the tape is covered!

I really liked the seat at the dragstrip. Let's you get really low on the bike.

I need to add some small amount of padding though. I am aching after a day of 16 runs...you feel every little bump. Thank god I am fat!

That is the idea so you TRULY have a "Feel" for the Bike! Get some 1/2 inch Dense Cell Foam BLACK from a Rubber Shop and cut it to fit and spray it with Super weather strip adheasive and you will be fine!

Carbon fiber drag step seat is availble at:

http://www.catalystracingcomposites.com/

Click on products, then Kawasaki...zx12r...you'll see it.

Shane, I wouldn't add a THING to that step seat for 2 reasons:

1) Why raise your center of gravity?

2) Why add weight?
