Depends on what kind of riding you do..... If you drag race, then you might consider the carbon weave pattern since it is easier to grip. If you want to be able to slide around on the seat, then get the normal material on the seat. You can also get Corbin to put in the "softer" foam for a better (meaning; almost harder than hell instead of harder than hell) ride. Pin-striping is also available if you want to color match the seat and your bike.

no drag racing here, just typical semi hooligan ride around , hit the twisties , zoom down the highway stuff.
based on that what do you (or anyone else) think i should get?
how does the corbin compare to the stocker

I would stay with the standard leather. And stay with the their standard foam. I have a corbin on my 12 and it works awesome.

The other nice thing about the corbin is it lets you set back away from the tank. Instead of buzzy your balls on the tank because the stock seat forces you forward.

My "carbon leather" Corbin has worn almost completly smooth except for the sides, something to consider down the road. It weighs a ton but I do like it alot. I would like to find some material like it for a re-cover and also to cover the back pad. Any Ideas? I contacted them about covering the rear seat and it was like 150 bucks plus shipping both ways, a little pricey I thought.

any other companies out there that will work with you on doing up the rear seat right? my girlfriend is not even slightly comfortable back there. it wouldnt take much to make that rear seat livable, just good material both inside and out and possibly a little shaping of the seat so that an ass can sit in it as opposed to slide on it.
any ideas?

I've taken my Corbin to several upholstery shops and no one here can get the same type material. I'm thinking maybe Corbin has somebody contracted to supply the material only to them.

I've seen a custom rear seat that was done by Corbin.
