Ran into Jamie James tonight
Went to the bike night at Marina Grill here in Daytona tonight and was sitting at a table looking over the bikes and saw a guy that looked a lot like Jamie James. Well he looked a lot like Jamie so I walked across the deck and it was Jamie. He was there and had his new R1 with him. He said he had some time to kill and thought he would come out and check out the turnout. We talked about the bike he built and a bit about racing, and a few other interseting topics. He said he was in Florida for another day then he was going to be riding a jet ski to the Bahamas. I asked him if he meant he was going to the Bahamas to ride jet skis and he said no, I'm riding one TO the Bahamas. Too cool.
Every time I've met him he's been the nicest guy, well he's just getting nicer. Since it's been raining so much I didn't have the camera in the trunk of my bike and I'm kicking myself for that but here's a (bad) pic of the bike and a link to the story about it. Believe me I heard all about it tonight.
