Buddy Lost to a 1397 Busa; Dragracers Help

My buddy drags an 01 zx12r with stock displacement. Full akra system, K&N, pc3r and 3 inch extension. 17/46 gearing

The other bike was a 1397 busa with extensions, pipe and god knows what else..

Anyways my buddy was ahead on the 12r until the last 60 feet of the race, the busa won by 2lengths..

He doesn't want another bike, (his bike runs damn good) should he go Muzzy Clutch, 1270 and degree the cams or something else? He seems to feel he's down 10 to 15 RWHP on the busa..
thanks,

supra

From the Heading I thought you ment the real Buddy on his 14.

The juice is cheap in the short term, with a 40 shot he should take him.
Drop in some pistons and maybe a 1270 or 1290 might do it as well.

I think both these might be the must economical and some what reliable
way for your buddy to have fun and beat his Busa friend.

PS: JohnnyCheese has a 1270 kit for sale that came out of a friends bike
for a very reasonable price and a used Muzzy stealth nitrous kit as well.

My thought also Buddy Lost to a Busa?? All he really needs to do is the NOS! That way when he gets in top gear or what ever the gear he uses to go through the traps, hit the Button and that Busa will not come by!

GEAR for the race! This is always important, especially when taking on "bigger" prey.

It was a street race, so really, you know nothing..........

You need the time of each bike to see where he needs to gain............

Could have been rider error, or just HP at the top...........

It was a street race, so really, how serious can the guy be.........
