Does anyone have any experience with RC Wheels on their ZX12? They sure look good!

I've had RC Components Tritons on my 12R now for about 7 years. I've replaced the cush drive once and I think bearings once. I definately l like the look. I got polished aluminum which takes a fare amount of maintainence to keep looking nice..

I got RC wheels on my 12R and i had an issue where the bead section on the front wheel cracked. It was scarey, RC replaced the wheel but after a lot of bitching and threats of lawsuits from me. Never buying anything RC again. PMs on my 11 are awesome, never an issue and the quality is leaps and bounds above RC.

+1....Why spend THAT kind of money for looks alone. Go with Magnesium or carbon and get some xtra performance. I have had Marchasini's for a while and never had a problem, love 'em.

Pretty sure the spun aluminum wheels are lighter than stock. So there is performance as well. It might be that not all of us have the money you evidently do to afford the better magnesium wheels...

I would really love to get the carbos fiber wheels (I think they are made by BST?) but they are like $3300 for the set. But damn are they beautiful!

I paid 1200.00 for my Marchacini's used. Even saw several sets on here for sale for same, mine included as well as turbo blew, matt sterbater. You cheap fucks woudnt even buy any for a deal. You will however spend 1500.00 for a twice as heavy set of RC's . I know rick with RC and I got a helluva deal there first but did the research and they could not come close to the benefits or prices on the mag. wheels if you can find some nice used ones. Whoever buys the RC's , get the chrome ones you will thank yourself in the long run.

I got the spun aluminum RC Taladaga wheels on the 12R and they were much lighter than stock. The PMs on the 11 were just slightly lighter but not much.

I paid 1200 for my RC's new.

I've had a set of chrome RC's on my 12 for the last several years. They still look like new and are easy to clean, as far as performance...........they've carried me over 200mph several times at Maxton.

OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!ROFLMAO........ Are you for real???? Look at the quotes from both of us and tell me how much we both paid for our wheels again? Looks like financially we are pretty close! I was just simply telling the guy that If he shops around for a deal that he could go mag. for the same money, if not less. The 1500.00 price from RC's were for chrome daytona's. Hell I went for the 300.00 buck savings and half more the weight off. I even almost swapped for RC's but I did not want the extra weight and .25" extra rim width. There is nothing wrong with there wheels. If thats what you want.

You bought used wheels, I bought new. By a set of NEW Marchesini wheels for that price. I dont paticularly care to be called a cheap fuck when all I was doing was answering the guys thread. However you seemed to want to make a pissing match out of who had the better wheels. Like you said, Nothing wrong with my wheels.
It aint your bike I put them on and I didn't spend your money either. So dont worry about what other people spend their money on..

Forget chrome, in the long run its a mistake. One rock chip and you got yourself a corrosion trigger and once it sets in you can't polish it out.
