Can you say ringer????
Someone just handed me a June 1999 Cycle World and on the cover Are these statements "Speed Demon" "Suzuki 1300 Hayabusa" "Top speed 194 mph" "Horsepower 160" "1/4 MILE 9.8 sec".
Since when has a box stock Busa made 160hp? Am I mistaken or did Suzuki slip in another ringer??? Hmmmm

That bike was a crock of shit. It was recalled by Suzuki and when it came back it made 10hp less. [cough]"Bullshit".
What has a stock Busa done "certified"???? Can't talk shit about the 12's certified runs. Can't get any more truthful? Doug Meyer made the runs... We're talking one of the master's of body positioning/research for top speed???
I say "whatever!"...I let the pudding be the proof. Every Busa I've raced...I've beaten...except for Nitrous or heavily modded 1400cc Busas. High speed runs...it's so fun letting a Busa get the jump...then reeling them in and passing them. No fun to jump out ahead...I just stay there. That's the truth and that's what I enjoy the most. Busa owners hate it when I beat them. Oh well. Live with your purchase.

You didn't really think that Suzuki would short change themselves do you? But if I recall there was a question or two raised about the bone stock 12 that Gadson tested when it firsty came out.
As for the Hyabusa I can say that they look fast!!! And the head light gets dimmer in my 12's mirrors as time passes!
