Valentine one upgrade program?
is this a total scam or what? i bought my V1 in 2000, now looking on the V1 website they say that new technology makes the ka detection better than before. 189 bucks to send mine back for a new one!!! I say scam, am i right?

v-1 upgrade
I am not sure how long ago it was, maybe 98-99, but there was a significant upgrade to the KA performance, and the cost seemed to be a little higher. With the current model, the only improvement I would like to see would be a little less falsing on the KA band.

I've kinda given up on radar detectors...State patrol around here is using Laser. Actually, I've kinda given up on high speed street riding/driving. What does that leave me? Well, almost every weekend this spring/summer, I've been at a track. Roadrace or Dragrace, the weekends have been pretty good at filling my need for speed. This year was the first time I had hired lawyers to fight tickets, and in both cases, the lawyers won! This also means that I'm not going to be in a hurry to buy that Vette, since I *know* that the State Gestapo would be all over it.
