Power Commander Software Issues? I am looking into a complete redesign of the Power Commander Control Center as it is severely outdated. I was wondering if any of you have specific requests for the next version of software?

What I would like to see is a place where users could check on current bugs and glitches. In the past my experience is that often times fixes for one issue cause a problem to pop up somewhere else. Currently there is no place where customers can interface directly with the R&D folks. My experience has been that the Tech support folks are not privy to the entire picture of problems and fixes.
This might be a positive way for the end users to help in not only fixing current issues, but making suggestions for new applications. Something like a Dynojet users group forum. This might be a great place to get great feedback.

how about a graphical representation of the fuel and timing curves, with the ability to compare them, and also to manually adjust the curves (ie: photoshop's menu: "image>adjust>curves")....

pc software how about a facility for an external input?? with the option to turn it on or off and a numerical or bargraph display on screen
also, a logging facility so that the realtime numbers we see can be logged to a laptop...just a few minutes would be sufficient ....and then include the first idea...
I like the graphical representation idea alot.
be able to change just one number, whilst on the move, and have it upload quicker...not have to upload the entire table maybe just one line of a table at a time.....
be able to have maps open in different windows at the same time.. at the moment comparing 2 maps (not hooked to bike) is a pain in the arse....want to be able to see the 2 maps without all the buttons on the RHS and alternate between them easily..
keep the cross hairs and green numbers.. I like that feature..

You guys don't get it. He's talking bout redesigning the software app that runs on your PC. A graphical rep of the fuel and timing charts would be nice, that's for sure. Carry that same idea over to the 'compare' feature, that'd be cool too.

Ultimate PC3R Hi guys......Here's what I want. How about a PC3R that sits up front in plain view of the rider, that allows me to see real-time, the fuel/air/ mix & ignition advance stages as I ride, with the assist of ram air, this is key.
I would also like to be able to tweek it while on the run, via an infared button on the bars.
Christ is that too much to ask?
Can you tell I'm bored as shit up here in Toronto.

Dyno Swift - I need a very sexy exhaust sensor, cost 12,000.00 to give me all of the readings I'm after. Further more, to be realtime and correctable on the run, you're talking serious wireless technology, the cars guys probably already have it, bastards!
My bike's in pieces again...Winter projects include cleaning up the frontal inner fairing and dash set-up. Just for fun I'm having the air snorkel painted like that of a P51 Mustang, teeth and all. The foot hardware is all being polished to match my Muzzy 'polished' TI can...Fuck does it look nice in chrome! I had to off the black Carbon Fiber unit because I use no header packing and melted the poor thing with 200 hp. Would that consitute abuse?
Be safe,

PC3R Software Features Hey Tearinitup here is a datalogging/tuning software for use with turbo Miata's. It is really a great piece of software for engine performance tuning. It was written for the Link ECU. Download it and take a look. It has 3d graphing, datalogging, selective input sensor graphs etc. and GUI for ECU settings. It was written by a Miata turbo power enthusiast who is also a windows programmer.
I have been using it for about 6 months and it would be great to have a comparable program for tuning the 12 with a Power Commander. A link for the software is http://www.gvii.net/dlralt/miatalinklab/index.htm

Cliff - I can understand that! Yesterday, put the adjustable lowering links on my silver 12, and strapped the front, an inch down on on both ends. I'll be drag racing it this spring and early summer, working out the bugs before taking it to Bonneville. Should be a blast! The red 12 is in need of a tune up, but I don't want to do anything with it until I get the silver bike all the way back together. Putting adjustable cam timing sprockets and a manual cam chain tensioner on it. Know anyone wants an RC 51? It's got 1700 miles on it, is spotless, and the only mods are a power commander and the soft rev limiter removal. I bought it for backroads stuff, but all the mods to the 12 (race tech, marchesinis, ohlins) have really made the 12 much more competent in that area. So it's kind of redundant at this point, and it makes a terrible commutting motorcycle. ____________

PC Control Software Update How about porting the Control Center Software to a Palm Pilot. I use the Palm to carry a couple of different options when I am tuning. It would be nice to have the complete Control Center for the Palm Pilot as they are cheap and you can carry one on the bike. You could also mount the Palm up front quite easily and leave it connected to quickly make changes on the fly.

Full Control Center Software for Palm IS actually on my list. Tis not Top Priority but someday it will probably happen.
