That pesky 30mm nut.....
Man O man. Last night I was going to attempt to take of what is left of the clutch basket and also the inner hub and I got down to the 30mm nut. What in the hell does it take to get that thing off. I even wheeled my buddies stand up air compressor over and cranked it all the way up to 120psi and then cranked the impact to wide open and the nut did not budge. What gives?

I used a clutch holding tool with a 2 ft pipe and a 1/2 in breaker bar with a 3ft pipe, and that almost wasn't enough. Pretty scary.

djones,
I have the kwak tool which holds the hub while you put some elbow grease on the nut. I live in Missouri City and am more than willing to lend it to you if you wanna make the drive.
folks who "get their nut off" with impact tools are still faced with how to hold the hub still while putting a torque wrench on it while replacing the nut...

Clutch hub holding tool
I used some old steel plates, bolting 5 or 6 of them togther with a Y shaped handle.works great, just put a long alen wrench in the lock nut for the swing arm pivot and use it to back up the handle of the holding tool.
