Sweet!

How does the handling/braking compare? How much work to put the forks and swingarm on? Did you have to fabricate anything or straight bolt -up?

Braking is nice I really can't tell much but it stops in a hurry and I don't even have the rear brake hooked up yet. Handling on the other hand is much improved, the bike feels much smaller. It turns in with ease but there are some issues. No bump stops, I have to get one welded to the back of the stem housing. The clip ons I bought were 7 degree rake and now there are clearance issues. Simple fixes will have these solved but pesky to deal with.
The swing arm was easier than I thought. The pivot bolt is 20mm and the clutch side frame hole is 25, all you need is a bushing which I ground down from a nut with a 20 mm inner to 5 mm thick. The throttle side collar is big enough that when tightened there is no play. You have to cut the chain and send it through the swing arm brace and that was a first. Really the whole thing was a first. I had a lot of people on here for advice and offering help. When I first started I was flying blind and thought I was going to need custom spacers Chuck offered to make them for free. I thought that was pretty cool. I ended up not needing them.
The steering stem was a pain, its pressed in and from the opposite direction that I thought. It presses out from the top. Machine shop did the switch from ZX-10 to ZX-12 stem for $25. The part were pretty cheap off ebay. I'm guessing $1500 for all the stock ZX-10 2004-2005 parts.
The rear brake line will not route the same but I ordered a stainless line with bolt on banjo fittings the rear stock bend and the front 90 degree so it goes over the thick swing arm side wall.
I'm waiting for a side by side comparison with a stock ZX-12 2001. I would compare shiphtees but he has carbon rims so not quite accurate comparison. The offer is still there for the ride though shiphtee. How did the raping go.
