Now I heard a while back (one of our PA buds please confirm) that Mario not only owns several car dealerships, but as his family rides dirt bikes, atv's, & streetbikes, they also owns a bike dealership too....

Demo bike? Hell I donno...was just passing it on...

i guess what bugs me, is why would he bother comming out to sign the bike for u? it's hardly worth his time. plus i dont trust the scammy way the description is written on ebay. says "buy a bike owned by andretti" but it also says he is just demoing it. so he didnt own it. just sounds a little too user-car-salesman to me.

besides, he looks so wrong on that bike.

i suppose he could be doin it to help out a relative who owns one of said dealerships. that would make sense.

I donno; some car race fans might like to own an autographed personal bike of a former FIA GP World Champion. He has accomplished a lot in the racing world; winning the Indy 500, Daytona 500, various championships, etc. If I was into collecting (Like Jay Leno), I might be tempted to buy it & put it into a Museum someplace to gather dust. One of the reasons I bought mine was for collecting...

I can visualize the gross exaggeration glass discription plate in front of the bike now:

Kawasaki 00' ZX12R "Ninja" Motorcycle

Purchased new in May of 2000'
Once owned by World Driving Champion Mario Andretti
Last of the unrestricted motorcycles - top speed near 200mph
200 Horsepower (crank)
500 lbs.

etc.
etc.

& have the "book" than came with the bike hanging alongside on a chain, or maybe on the display...
A pic of Doug at Bonneville, or Bergie at Maxton w/copies of the LSR certificates....

Would be very cool....

oops, what i meant abotu why he'd bother signing it, is why would he go to the trouble. certainly tons of people would absolutely love it, but i'd think it's not worth andretti's time.
