ping RedElk/Kawachan: Deliverance boyz...
Hey guys, you are the only folks I know in Arkansas, and I hope you can give me some advice on camping in Ark.
My wife and daughter (14) love to car-camp but since I spent all the family's money on my bike we gotta do something we can reasonably drive to from Houston.
Does Arkansas have some mountains where you can car camp and don't have to "squeal like a pig" in payment???
We are prob looking at 5 days or so in early July.
Any help you can give would be much appreciated.

Yepper!! If you want to stay at a lake, explore for diamonds or look in some caves......AR has it. There are some pretty cool mountains up north around Ft Smith (good riding area too!!) and other parts of NW AR. Lots of exciting rivers and creeks to raft if you like that.
Anyway, look at the site RedElk gave for more info, You can call me if you need more info on some of the parks close to me.

i really appreciate the compliment, because many folks feel that the gap between my front teeth detracts from my appearance...
