I will be camping up there with the family but in reference to the track. VIR looks like a country club best track I've seen yet.

Will Nick Hayden defend his win at the inaugural VIR lightning Nationals when the AMA (American Motorcycle Association) Chevy Trucks U.S. Superbike Championship returns to Southside Virginia?
The doubleheader superbike event is sure to catch all the knee-dragging excitement of motorcycle racing in AMA's season finale. The superbikes are capable of reaching incredible speeds and require the utmost talent and skill from the riders as they lean their bikes into turns at almost unbelievable angles.

Weekend races also include the thrilling action in Formula Xtreme, Supersport, Superstock, 250 Grand Prix and Pro Thunder. After watching live racing by day, enjoy old biker movies on the outdoor theater screen by night.

This nationally televised event offers some of the most heart-stopping racing you'll experience.

VIR Lightning Nationals, August 9-11, 2002
Tickets Advance Gate
3-day Super Ticket $50 $55
Friday NA $10
Saturday $30 $35
Sunday $35 $40

Advanced ticket sales end July 25th.

All ticket prices include parking and pedestrian paddock access.
Children under 12 are admitted free with a paying adult.
No ticket refunds or exchanges. We run rain or shine.
Camping fees are $20 per night or weekend for a tent and $40 per night or weekend for all other vehicles.
RV pumping is available for a fee. Power is available in the paddock, but not in spectator camping areas.
All campers must vacate Sunday after the last checkered flag.
NO CAMPFIRES OR GROUND FIRES ARE ALLOWED.
No glass containers are allowed.

Preferred Infield Parking Pass is $10 and must be purchased at the gate.

While at VIR, race coverage and track info airs on 89.9 FM.
Golf Cart Rental
A limited number of advance reservation golf cars are available for rent ($75 per day).
VIR Club members, please call for special rates.
