Tit "S" pipe for Akro????
does anyone know where to get a titanium S pipe for my Akro system? I tried a yr ago and no one had em.
I bought my Akro a yr & a half ago and it's S pipe is stainless, but stained with melted boot and other scubbas. I figure a titanium s pipe would turn blue and hide those ugly marks.
help!

I use a super fine scotchbrite pad on mine every so often to rid it of stains and boot marks. It shines it up temporarily but soon will turn gold again after a good ride.

Krex,
I used to do the same sort of thing with mother's creme, but got sick of polishing. AND, i like the blue that tit turns with hi heat
somebody is selling the tit S pipe, just a question of finding out who; hopefully someone other than LP.

Entropy, I got the Ti S-bend pipe from Doug at SpencerCycle. It did take a while to come in though. The pipe has turned blue about half way up. I need to do a long sustained ride to try to get it to turn blue all the way up to the can. I wet some very fine sandpaper and removed the melted rubber from the pipe. That spot is shiny now but should turn back "gold" after a ride or two.

hey Magzx,
I ordered one from doug yesterday, it'll be here in a while but I am in no big rush, cause my bike is under the knife at KS in Katy anyway. As far as turning it blue, one 2 hr ride with Pappabusa and his supersonic team ought to do it...
GG - call doug, i am sure he'll give you a great deal. If you tell him what a world-class drag racer he is, you'll prob get it for under $200.

Entropy, what's getting done to the bike this time. I haven't put a big bore on yet, but will probably do it this winter. I will probably go with the 1270 kit. I may look into K&S to do the work since you have had good results with them.

Mark,
billet crank, lee's cams $ springs, billet cam chain tensioner, head being cleaned up just a tad. Compression will increase a bit (0.6mm longer stroke) and the cams should give a few hp. I'd like to dyno at 205-ish.
Kevin at KS has been very good to me, although his shop is small and always busy so sometimes things don't go as quickly as one would like.
