restting tps on a USB

I called twice to Dynojet to reset the closed position.I'ld hit reset and it would stay at 105% throttle on the screen.Plus it kept on saying the parameters were too close to use.Dynojet walked me thru by resetting the open position instead.Basically whacking the throttle to 100% and then closing it off.Problem is every time I did this it bounced off the rev limiter. It now looks good on the monitor, but runs like shit at idle.It will idle fine when starting but stalls at every stop if not above 2gs,Plenty of midrange power as it would power lift in second at 4-5000.i think I need to do another compression test..Its that feeling that I know something is wrong but don't want to admit it.

Take the PC off and see if it's the bike or the PC.
Did you reset the TPS to spec before you tried to set it in the USB software?
It sounds like your TPS is sending a signal way out of range of what the PC usb is
expecting, or the PC is dying.

The PC111USB is working fine now.I believe I bent a valve trying to reset the top end.Three times it went into 13000 on the tach, just by opening throttle 100% and closing imediately.Sucks, cause I've probably ridden the bike maybe 100 miles the last two years.

You can set these with the key on bike not running.
Sometimes I need to bump the starter button 1/10 of a second
to get the software to see the pcIII.

I thought that too,but Dynojet said otherwise.Perhaps the voltage signals may change slightly enough to make a difference at either extremidy.

The key needs to be on but you set the 100% and 0% with the engine not running.

I cant believe dynojet would even tell someone to try to set it while the engine is running.

What the hell is the matter with them.

1 set the idle speed to the desired rpm.
2 set the TPS voltage to 1.086vdc
3 with the key on and engine NOT running hold the throttle open all the way and hit the set button.
4 with the key on and engine NOT running and the throttle closed hit the set button.

Thats it. done.

My brother seems to think there is a problem with the schrader valve on the compression tester.I'll have another for Sat.There's no way this bike would have run without compression.i just want to go slow and not hurt anything more.
