Strap

Hi pretty new to this forum and have been reading through alot of the posts on here and lot of them seem to be one sort of racing or another.
Now I know a little about bikes when you guys talk about cams and tuning mods but its this thing called a "strap" that is getting me.

What is it and what does it do??

I started a new thread as I did not want to bore people in the racing threads.

Thank again

Spike

Lowering strap. Lowers the front end. Attach one end to the left side brake caliper bolt....then loop the other side over the frame right past the steering stem....continue looping the other part till you get to the other brake caliper bolt on the right side.

Make sure no wires or cables get snagged and that you can still turn lock to lock. Pull the strap, lowers the front end, makes it easier to launch the bike, just be careful when landing wheelies with them as the suspension is already compressed!

It is a tie down strap that you attach to the front caliper bolts. It allows you to "pull down" the forks for drag racing, so the bike is less wheelie-prone.
