pcIIIr help
Well i put on my Muzzy system, and a pcIIIr,went out for a spin, and it ran ok,with a flat spot around 2000,thought I could smooth it out a little with the buttons. Then i went out again, the friggin thing started bucking and finally quit. What the hell did I do? Im not good with computers, and cant get the right map to load. Any advice? All I have done was the pipe and the k&n's.

well..perhaps we can both get some questions answered in this thread
First...to try to help you. Have you loaded the PC3R software on your computer?
Plug your cable into the PC3R and the other end into your serial port on the back of the PC.
Then turn the ignition on and go to the PC and select "Port - Auto" and it should detect the PC3R for you.
Prior to doing this you should download the ZERO map ~or whatever other map you want~ off the powercommander website and place it into the C:\powercdr directory. Then click load map and select the zero map. Once this is in..you can modify it yourself...or just load an existing map you obtained from someone else. To input it into the PC3r just click Upload.
Now for my question
I am tinkering with this PC3 trying to modify my custom made map into a "Nitrous Only" map.
What is the max % of fuel you can add per cell? as a start ive added +25 from 7k to 8500, and +40 from 8500 to 12500 all at WOT only.
Can you go higher than that? would it matter? Up to this point I had just added 2 full bars on the faceplate at the HIGH rpm range and have had no issues sofar.
Also..question 2. I notice that even though I have a PC3...when I load up the software and connect to the PC3...I have an "Ignition Table" tab on the software. Everything by default is set to "22".
Im almost scared to change anything here for fear of grenading the motor . Is stock 22 degrees of advance? Or is that 22deg of total timing and technically thats "Zero" advance.
Anway...thanks in advance for anyone who replies with helpful information

The zx12 power commander will only accept up to and including +/-45% fuel changes

The timing table memory space is not initialized in a pcIII, if you were to pull this timing table out (and you can because the software doesn't care if it is a PCIIIr or only a PCIII, you can send and receive timing tables either way) in this state then you will see all 22's. As you have a PCIII you can't physically modify the timing so you can do anything you want to this table. Zero it out (ie set it back to stock) if it makes you feel better. The 22 you see would actually be 22 degrees more advanced than stock, that would be bad if you actually had a PCIIIr.
