Wilson had an accident Man I hate announcing posts like this.
Wilson had'nt returned my calls over last weekend so I called his shop and got the bad news. He met with a bad accident at W.Chicago and Merriman here in rush hour Detroit on the Friday prior to the long Memorial day weekend. Apparently some woman hit him while turning left - not sure. He's at the Univ. of Michigan Hospital right now. I called the hospital but they would'nt tell me how he was doing. At his work they told me he had lost his left leg & spleen. I don't know anything else at this point.
I can't belive it - he was a damn careful rider. We've ridden quite a few times.
The lady at his shop said he will be at the hopsital for a few months.

Damn, that IS terrible ! I've bought stuff from Wilson and he seems like a decent guy. I wish him all my best & hope his recovery goes smoothly.

aw shit. seems every year there is a period where people are going down like dominoes. i HATE hearing this...

I met Wilson at Gap 1. He is a heck of a nice guy. I HATE hearing this stuff.

:( This is sad.Wilson is the guy responsible for getting me in on these m.c. boards. I was given his # by a friend,called him up,and we talked for40 mins.....like I had known him forever! He told me about Labusas,and all the info I could find on there.I haven't talked to him since,other than a rare post or two,but I feel for him sincerely......Hang in there Wilson,our prayers our with you.

Wilson's a great guy. I've known him personally - and we've gone for quite a few rides together over the past year. Ever ready to help a fellow rider, esp. somebody on a 12.
Hope he pulls through this ordeal with minimum damage. Here's to wishing him a speedy recovery. I will take printouts of this thread and try to visit him at the hospital next week.

Can you give me the name of the street that it is on. I am gonna see if I can go visit "my buddy" Wilson. Damn!!! Why does this always happen to the good guy's!!!
Wilson is a very cautious, careful and experienced rider. I have ridden with many fellow bikers but I think wilson is the safest(no risk taking)
Just goes to show that this could happen to anyone. First HP Mike and now Wilson.....sure makes me think twice when I get on my bike!!!
Wilson - My prayers are with you! Hopes for a speedy recovery!!! I'll make sure to stop and pay you a visit in the next week!!!

All these accidents are making me feel better about my 12 being down for a few weeks waiting for my new crankshaft.

Get Well Wilson Wilson has been nothing but a first rate guy. I've purchased stuff from him and exchanged emails with him, class all the way.
I hate to see bad things happen to anyone, but especially good people. Good luck in the recovery Wilson, we're pulling for you.

Oooooh noooo! Man this sux. Get well soon Wilson my friend! It's gonna be tough for awhile, but I think you'll be back racing your legend car & riding the bike by fall. I know a guy with prostisis (sp?) that roadraces in the AFM with TWO missing legs & he's in his 50's. So take heart, you WILL get better in time...
Anyone got an address? I'd like to send a get well card or something...

I Am Deeply Sorry.... I don't have any words other than I'm sorry this has happened. My prayers are with you Wilson and your family.
I also pray that everyone else stays safe. Last year it seemed like a lot of folks were going down but without serious injury. This year it seems like folks are going down and suffering some very serious injuries. Man, this makes me very apprehensive about getting out there anymore. For whatever it is worth, stay prayed up fellas; keep focused on the only one that has everything under HIS control.

Angie - he is in the Burns and Trauma center of the U of M hospital in Ann Arbor. It's off of 23-S. Have the exit # at work - I will give U the exit # on Monday.
